What is a holter monitor?
A Holter monitor is a small wearable device that records every beat of your heart. The technology enables Advara HeartCare to record your heart rhythm for 4 days straight. The monitors are small and unobtrusive resulting in little disruption to your day-to-day activities. All patients are encouraged to go about their normal daily routine so the monitor can obtain an accurate reading of their heart’s usual activity. You can apply and remove the Holter monitor in the comfort of your own home.
Who provides the service?
Advara HeartCare listened to industry feedback. It's more likely to capture your arrhythmia if they can monitor your heart for 4 days instead of one. So they've extended their Holter monitoring to 4 days, with every beat recorded. This service is delivered direct to your door with Advara HeartCare's convenient mail-out service.
How does the service work?
When you place an order for a Holter monitor through Evermed, Advara HeartCare will send you the monitor by Express Post. The monitor will come with instructions for you to fit at home. After 4 days, simply remove and place in the return postage bag provided. The cost of this service includes the return delivery. The Cardiologists at Advara HeartCare will interpret your data, and send the results to your referring doctor.
